The Butterfly
If I gave you a butterfly, what would you do with it?
Would you hold it tight, or keep it caged up?
Or would you release it, and let it fly free?
If you let it fly free, what would you do?
Would you regret freeing it?
Or would you cherish its beauty and freedom as it fluttered away?
As it disappeared beyond reach, what would you do?
Would you wait for its return, with longing in your heart?
Or would you smile, and be at peace?
